CEO vs Indian CEO
I’ve been looking at the data from 2010 to now, and honestly, the way Indian CEOs are dominating compared to global leaders is insane.
The numbers do not lie. The amount of Indian-origin CEOs in Fortune 500 companies has jumped nearly 400% since 2010. they are currently running companies worth over " $3 trillion", which is a massive flex for us on the global stage.
What’s really interesting is the stability. While global CEOs are burning out faster their average tenure dropped to just 5.9 years Indian CEOs are sticking around for an average of 7.4 years. They just seem more trusted for the long game.
Even the firing stats are wild. Globally, about 18–20% of CEOs get let go every year, but for Indian CEOs, it’s only 11–13%. That makes them like 40% safer in their roles. A lot of people say it’s because growing up in India forces you to learn patience and problem-solving way earlier than everyone else.
We definitely still have issues to fix, specifically the lack of women in these roles and the "brain drain" of talent leaving the country. But looking at this trajectory? If this keeps up, Indian CEOs are going to be the absolute standard for leadership by 2030.
